VAL DOONICAN 1927-2015 RIP
It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of one of our Vice-Presidents, Val Doonican, who died peacefully on Thursday 2nd July in Buckinghamshire, aged 88.
Chairman, Giles Cooper, commented, "Val was a great supporter of our charity for many, many years and performed at numerous fundraising events for us over many decades. He was a lovely, caring man with a very big heart and was always a pleasure to work with. He was one of the all- time good guys in the entertainment industry and will be sorely missed by us all at the Royal Variety Charity. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Joy, daughters Sarah and Fiona and grandchildren Bethany and Scott, during this very difficult time"
